The Story Behind the Guide
When I published my first children's storybook, Zane and Calli's Adventure in ThrowAwayLand, I discovered that writing the story was only part of the journey. Bringing a book to life introduced me to creative writing classes, children's picture book workshops, publishing decisions, unexpected challenges, and invaluable lessons I couldn't have anticipated when I first began.
Along the way, I often found myself wishing someone had handed me a simple, honest guide that explained not only the process but the experience.
This guide is my way of paying that generosity forward. It isn't a comprehensive publishing manual, nor is it a blueprint for guaranteed success. Instead, it's a collection of lessons learned, mistakes made, wisdom gained, and encouragement offered from one first-time author to another.
